In honor of the shortest term break of the school year, swing by the library this week to pick up a Not-Actually-a-Vacation Read for Fall Recess! There is no better way to celebrate the end of fall than grabbing a blanket and warm drink, and biding away a few hours with your nose buried in a book. All of the compelling and powerful novels on this list will make for a very enjoyable eleven days of reading, AND, while they may not be vacation reads, they come from previous AP English Literature and Composition Exam reading lists.
For students who are already prepping for the AP English Literature and Composition Exam in May (or who just love a good book), Ms. Yarborough has compiled a spreadsheet (linked here) of ALL the books that have appeared in the free response question between 2011-2022. Take a look at the spreadsheet to see the titles and authors most used by the AP Exam, as well as a list of recommended reads from the Ohrstrom librarians. We have also curated reading lists for both our physical collection and Sora e-books and audiobooks to help you easily access these texts.
The Ohrstrom Library staff wishes you a wonderful Fall Recess and happy reading!
